Default Need to replace Pulley

Can someone help me out on this one? I need to replace the pulley on the A/C compressor. It was damaged by the previous owner(car was in an accident). Can someone run me through the steps to remove and replace it?

Thanks,
Manny

The pulley is part of the armature plate and A/C clutch assembly.
Remove the center nut (13 ft#) while holding the armature plate with a clutch holder (this just prevents the plate and pulley from turning while you remove the nut).
Remove the armature plate and shim(s). Don't lose the shims. The number of shims is how the clutch is adjusted (clearance is 0.5 mm between the plate and the pulley).
A snap ring must then be removed to get the pulley off.

If all your doing is replacing the pulley, then reverse the above steps. The new pulley may change the clearance so you might need to add or subtract shims.
