Default New member here just picked up my first S2000

Hey everyone I just picked up my first 2001 AP1 S2000, drove it home fine, hit a couple unavoidable pot holes and then about a mile away from my house the temp gauge started reading 4 bars. Got it into my garage and noticed a coolant leak, I pulled the bumper off and noticed the "Custom" wooden lip he put on was actually HUGE and that he actually only really bolted it to the rad support. The support was crushed into the rad and the rad was trashed. I'm going to be purchasing a new rad support, bumper (because the paint is all messed up on it and I guess he tried putting his own fog lights in it), and a dual core Yonaka aluminum radiator with an aluminum fan shroud. What else should I consider looking into with the damage or even just other mods while the front is apart?

Update, it still only seems like the rad, support, and condenser were damaged. Any advice?

I have never seen anything like this before.

You never looked underneath before you purchased the car? Forget the "custom" wood anything and fix the radiator in a proper fashion. Buy a new/used plastic bottom air shield just like Honda intended it to be.

The car was hard enough to look underneath because his fortune autos were literally almost set to the ground, the giant wood piece blocked me from seeing that as well. I'm ordering the parts today and currently drilling out the rad support.

Take the car back and walk away. Quick!

Well, that's why I added in the pothole part to the beginning of my thread. It could've been him or me. Either way, this gives me the chance to easily put in a dual core rad with a good shroud, actual aem intake, and I already did an A/C delete. Anything else I can do while this is all apart? I decided to just straighten out the rad support rather than buy and weld in new one.

A POTHOLE did all that?

Most likely not. But after looking underneath the car and inspecting it further I see that the rad support (And some poor subwoofer wiring and other wiring that is easy to repair and trivial) is the car's only mechanical flaw. With the aftermarket parts he put on it (Other than the "really cool" lip he made and put on) I think I made out pretty well on it for a Ohio/PA S2000. I plan on fixing it and continuing with the build. I also noticed that the filler neck for the fuel was neochrome with two more smaller neochrome lines running down from it. Is this anything special and aftermarket that I should continue to look into? I'll post a picture when I get home from work.

One more thing I looked into while reading up about AEM intakes. What is the actual difference and benefits between their cold air intake and their dual chamber intake? I'm not familiar with dual chamber intakes and I can't find anything regarding the design or engineering put into them. I was busy last night and could not get a picture of the fuel system, I'll grab one and post it tonight as well.
