Default No more 6th Gear

Well to make a long story short I'm driving down the highway when I then go to shift into 6th gear it won't go it feels like there is a wall that it can't get past. It will take 1st-5th and Reverse but it will not take six any suggestions or experiences?

A common reason for 6 to disappear is a missed high rpm shift to third that hits fifth. 5 and 6 share synchro and sleeve so it buggers up the ability to get into 6. The common fix is to force the shifter into 6 (it make take many tries and much pressure) to get past the damage on the parts. Once in it will take repeated shifts to smooth out.

It took days for mine to come back (I lost 5th) and once I could finally get it in gear it wanted to pop out under pressure so I just held it in gear and drove it for a while and suddenly it worked perfectly again.

I really hope that is the case but yes I think the reason for it going was a misshift I was driving and wen to shift to 3rd at about 8000 and tapped 5th by accident. But 5th feels fine its 6th thats gone I have read all the other post and I am just keeping my fingers crossed that it will come back.

You might have to double clutch it. My old CRX has damaged synchros on 3rd and 5th (I think they share the same synchros), and once in a while, it would not go into 3rd or 5th unless I declutch while the stick is in neutral before I clutch in again and shift. When I do this, I dont' have to force it in. If I don't double clutch, then I have to force it in (which doesn't sound nice).
