Default noise from right rear brakes....

This problem has just surfaced lately. The noise only happens after I've been driving a while then I stop, the noise comes when either the car rolls back or I reverse. There's this moan or grunt noise from the rear right ..... (sounds like I'm riding on the e-brake, but it's only the right rear) I've checked the pads, rotors and they look fine. Also went to lube the pads and tighten up the axle nut. The brake caliper piston goes in and out pretty well, no other noise while driving so I doubt it's the wheel bearing..... nothing seems to makes this go away. I'm stumped! Please help!

Have you tried spinning the wheel with brake pads off? Does it still spin easily? When my wheel bearing went, with the brakes off it didn't spin as it should.

Installed new wheel bearing and things were back to normal!

Good luck!

it does spin freely, doesn't have any wobble or noise what so ever.... brought it to a mechanic and he told me that it's definitely not a wheel bearing

again the grunt or moan noise happens when I roll back or reverse after driving forward for a while....it lasts a few seconds then goes away completely..... the best way i can describe the noise is like after washing the car, rear brake drying completely, and letting go of the ebrake for the first time
