Default O2 sensor

Ok I have done a search and cant find anything about this topic. Recently my 02 sensor went bad (secondary) and then i was hearing a rattle, took it to the muffler shop they said that it was my cat. So cat broke inside in turn broke my 02 sensor. I am going to pick a cat off a totaled S at a junkyard today. Is there a special tool i need to remove and put a 02 sensor in the cat? Because i want to get it done today and I want to be prepared. If i do need a tool where do i buy one?

I think they make O2 sensor wrenches, but to tell you the truth a large "Crescent" wrench is all you need. Give it a good SNAP to get it loose. Use a bit of anti-seize on the threads before putting it into the cat.

any tool will remove the 02 sensor.

goto autozone to buy a sensor there are 2 types, generic and an oem replacement. they are all the same so the dif between a oem and generic o2 sensor is the connector on the eom replacement will match the car.

with the generic you get a kit to crimp the old connector onto the new generic sensor. the o2 wires are stainless steel and you generally cant solder them.

The Federal Emissions Warranty should cover the CAT for 8 years and 80K miles.

Yeah even vortech supercharged I guess i should check but it just seems pointless, because they look for any reason not to replace something

Don't go to Autozone, total ripoff for OEM and no need for kit. Got my O2 sensor from hondiscountparts.com, its a denso and I beleve $68 direct fit. Also some brand I never heard of for $43. Autozone wanted like $300 for sensor.
