Stick with OEM.

OEM is good. Any high quality name brand filter is good too. Just make sure it's about the same size as the S2000 filter, and not a small one like the civic filters.

Or you could go with a bigger filter like I did

Yes,K&N makes good stuff.

I use either Wix or Amsoil oil filters on all my cars listed below.

My 03S,likes the Wix 51334 or the Amsoil Ea15K20.

I'm back to OEM filters. I figure that the OEM is one of the following- 1.Best, 2. better than average, 3. average.
I'm going to accept that the OEM is better than average and also accept that even though it may only be averege , it's good enough. Days are gone when new car mfgs suggested that the filter be changed with every other oil change which was strange since I've never heard of anyone who followed this mfg recommendation. When we average only 5-6k between changes of both oil and filter, I figure OEM is at minium, all this car will ever need.

I go 15k to 16k miles on my oil filter.

My local oreilly auto parts store had a deal where if you purchase five quarts of roya purple you would get a free k&n filter. So far it's been fine. I never put too much though into oil filter. They all should do the job.
