Default 2005: A/C blows hot at idle/cold while driving

2005 with 130.5k miles on it. I daily this thing; but, I just got back from a week long work trip and noticed that the A/C blows warm at idle and once I'm driving with air flow to the rad/condenser it's fine and blows cold (I live in Florida so A/C is on year round haha).
- A/C system has a full charge - double and triple checked with car on, A/C on recirc, and full blast.
- Noticed that my coolant reservoir has a large hole in it as well (appears the plastic is just deteriorating). Ordered a new one but it'll be 3-4 days before it gets here. Hole is towards the top so coolant isn't just leaking out but still not gonna drive it like that.
- Also did a leak test and don't see any freon around any of the connections or o-rings in the sytem.

Any pointers/ideas? It was a great day actually, the brake and clutch pedal stops also broke. Had to duct tape a penny to the brake pedal for the lights to go off and dont' ever use cruise control so not too worried there.

Make sure your A/C fan is working, as your complaint is a classic symptom of such.

If your A/C fan isn't working you will have bigger issues than the A/C not working while idling. Issues like overheating.

If your A/C isn't blowing cold at idle then it indicates a clog somewhere. Possibly the drier, I know humid Florida is hard on A/C driers. Makes sense since it's the first piece after the condenser.

Usually the dryer or the expansion valve. I did the dryer and it worked for awhile but ended up also doing the expansion valve.

Thank you for that info. Both fans are working. Looks like I'll tear into the drier and expansion valves this weekend before it gets to terribly hot here. Nothing like having to switch to your E36 M3 for DD duties. I'm afraid everything but the drivetrain will break at any given moment haha.

Check for sandblasted/bent condenser fins. Very common finding on cars over 100k.
