Hey Guys,

Im having a little bit of difficulty finding information. I wired up a PLX Oil Pressure Sensor to feed my Multi Gauge. Work great and I never really see a drop below 10psi.

The question I have is, even though i have the gauge, I wanted to retain the idiot light. So i wired to factory pressure light to the WK warning switch. Upon clutch in and RPM dropping to 6 or 700 the idiot light goes on for a second or two however i dont see an immediate drop on my DM100 digital multi gauge.

Can I retain the OE light or is this not possible with this switch/gauge set up. Any advice? Is this something Id have to change in my Haltech? From my experience, the Warning switch is just a signal that comes on at a certain pressure and I just assumed itd be the same for w.e. reason

Sorry for the inexperience, this is my first aftermarket oil pressure gauge and I rather not lose a motor due to poor oil pressure monitoring

I'm not sure what the stock pressure switch is set at but I'm guessing it might be even lower than the 11.4psi on the PLX.
Seems you already got the idiot light functioning correctly and maybe even giving you a bit earlier warning than stock.
Btw the factory manual calls for 36psi minimum pressure at idle and 85psi at 3000rpm, measured at 176'F.
