I had this happen to an Acura I once owned. It would pop out of 4th gear (into neutral). Esp on hard acceleration or deceleration. It only got worse and worse, no matter what gear oil I used. Had to rebuild the transmission. UGH!

It was fine after the rebuild. But, I didn't really trust the thing (even after the rebuild). Popping out of gear is a dangerous --- while in traffic --- thing. I sold the car.

Good luck, with your fix!

Yeah luckily this only happens on deceleration in 2nd during a turn. So i think i should be ok. I've been avoiding it by only downshifting to third if i need to when taking a turn. On acceleration its fine and if i'm going in a straight line and coming to a stop its fine. So its only on a turn in higher RPMS. I think i'll just stick with it for now, save up for a transmission rebuild or swap and then go that route.
