Default Problem removing driveshaft (aka propeller shaft)

I'm trying to put my diff back in and I had problems getting the driveshaft out of the way so I tried to remove the front bolts. I got one out but all the others were stuck in there that they kept stripping out. I was at the point to where I had to grind the bolts off and I still can't get the damn thing to come loose. I'm also afraid I probably damaged the driveshaft because in grinding the bolts off I ended up gouging into the shaft a little bit. I don't know if there are shops where I can get it balanced or if it's trashed now. Of course if the damn manufacturers would just put anti-seize compound on the threads of the bolts this wouldn't happen. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks.

locking vise grips on the outside of the bolt head?

bolts look dry, you should douse them in penetrating oil

Id just put it back on and see what it does. I have bought driveshafts off ebay with cut marks on them and they worked fine.

Thanks Cruc1a7. Another question - Are those half moon shaped washers necessary for the balance of the driveshaft (or some other reason) or can I replace them with ordinary round washers?

They are there to spread the load as being alloy, the bolt heads would cut into it.
could use large thick washers and trim the edges with a saw should hold ok and in a uniform manner to not upset balance.
My concern would be the surface area under washers,it needs to be quite flat,so file them to a flat surface.

Changing the prop shaft is easy so just reinstall it best you can and replace it if you can feel heavy vibration. Those washers are only $2.65 so just buy more.

Try calling A-1 Driveshaft Co. for balancing/repair. They are local to you.

Thanks guys. I was losing light last night so I didn't notice that I didn't grind one bolt head enough. I ground it this morning and the driveshaft came out easily. Two of the bolts came out with my fingers and the remaining three came out with vice grips. It'll probably take a week for the washers to come in so I got some stainless steel round washers and put them on both ends of the shaft til the Honda ones come in. Didn't get a chance to road test it but jacked it up with the wheels off the ground, put it in gear and tested it up to 20mph. So far so good. I'll put the exhaust on tomorrow and then do a real road test.
