To note though, the back and forth play isnt in the driveshaft but in the trans/diff backlash in the gears, which is normal to some degree. How much is hard to say. But the vid looks like pretty normal backlash. That's not to say there may not be some vibration coming from the driveshaft that a repack would wouldn't solve. Its what i'm hoping for.
I could defiantly feel the lash/play in terms of the trans/diff. I am not familiar enough with the innards of the output trans shaft or the diff joints to know where exactly the lash is coming from. I am happy to hear that this seems to be a normal amount of play however. Since the shifting has felt fine, and the clutch seems to be working proper, Im assuming my Noise problems are stemming from somewhere in the rear end of the car. Should be easy to diagnose once I start doing some more investigation. Thanks to everyone who replied, your input is greatly appreciated.

Correct, hence the term constant velocity.

In a u-joint system with a splined slip-joint, the spline can be put together out-of-phase. The result is the two shafts actually try to turn at two different speeds (non-constant velocity) at any given instant, even though they make the same amount of revolutions. The fight between the two distinct velocities causes pressure differences, creating vibration and accelerated wear.

This is not possible with the S2000. The markings are the same as the paint on the transmission drain and fill, or the axle nuts. They provide a story of preservation, or evidence of alteration/tamper/movement. They are not for phasing or balance.

The driveshaft cannot be installed out of phase. The marks are redundant, they are preservation markings.
when he turns one rear wheel, isn't the other wheel supposed to turn in the opposite direction?
