I'm having my car serviced tomorrow. Does anyone know if you maintain the JR filter like a KN? I picked up the KN cleaning solution and oil kit. KN recommends soaking the filter and rinsing it from inside out with water, letting dry and oiling.

Same for the JR?

I remember Mingster saying that the K&N cleaning kit would be OK at a time when the JR cleaning kit was not quite ready for delivery. The only thing was that the K&N oil color makes the JR filter look funny when you spray it on (JR filter is blue and K&N is sorta redish.)

yeah, sorry for the delay in having the JR cleaners. it should essentially be the same - provided you don't mind your filter looking brownish
