Question on engine wiring harness and ecu

I have an AP1 JDM engine. Can I use the AP2 engine wiring harness, but my ECU is AP1 ???
Will it work?

Not sure about Jdm but for usdm 00-05 engine wiring harness is the same. 06+ is different
