I don't have the same rattle. The rattle is there with or without a passenger and it seems to be coming from behind the seat.

Pay particular attention to page 3 of the TSB, might be it. Good luck.

My problem doesn't appear to come from the convertible top, but from the seat, itself, or from the hardtop. Still, thanks for pointing out TSB-023 as it provides a good description of preventative maintenance I should probably be doing.

i doubt this could be the problem but who knows. for my car, i heard a rattle also comming fromthe passenger area. at first i thought it was the seatbelt tapping against the door so i held it. the sound continued. it turned out, the seat was tilted back too much and the seat was tapping the roll bar like loop behind the seat. so try positioning the seat in a more upright position. hope that works out for you. i know how annoying rattles can be

It could be the seat rattling against the cabin. I had that problem. I folded up a T-shirt and wedged it between the seat (just below the headrest) and the cabin. Voila, no more rattle!
Another member posted some pics of how he put velcro strips on his seats where the seatbelts rub and make noise. I'm going to do that next. Also, put some silicone grease on your roof seals, I just did that and it seems to help cut down on noise.
