Default Removing rear LCA bushings

Anyone know the direction (if any) that is needed to press out the rear, lower control arm, front bushing. Its the bigger of the two.

i am putting my die on the red circle trying to press downward but my 12ton press seems to not be doing it or maybe I am too wuss to keep cranking on it

maybe try from the other side. Use heat on the outside metal. don't be too timid. I did this on my EM civic a few years ago.

good luck

You can't press them out.

There are two there, one is pressed in from each side.

You have to get under the edge with an air hammer and LIFT them out. They both have hats so neither will pass through.

These are the only bushings in the car like this, all others get pressed.

If you have a good vise, and good chisel and hammer then you might get them that way.

Would it be easier to grind off the top hat and press them out?

Put a large pipe wrench on the inner part, and just twist it right out.

Then when you go under the lip of the remaining outer sleeve with the chisel, the entire thing will collapse and come right out. (with the center removed it allows it to collapse)

You'll spend 60 seconds if you get it down.

Resurrection.
Can you please explain this step? No matter how much I twist w. the pipe wrench, on the inside collar, nothing happens
