Replacement Fuel Pump, Which one?
Hi,
I'm looking at replacing my fuel pump as preventative maintenance. The car is almost at 200,000KM. I've replaced the assembly that it resides in (16010-S84-A01) (i got this part by accident and for free) and still have the interior out. I feel like i should replace the pump before i reinstall the interior.
Any thoughts on which i should go for? OEM or Aftermarket? Walbro or aeromotive? Which model?
Ideally i would like a drop in replacement that fits into the existing housing.
My engine is stock and its 50% track car however noise is a concern for the other 50%. I have no real plans for going for forced induction anytime soon unless the engine decides to give up.
Any thoughts and experiances would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Walbro 255, direct drop in and I couldn't say I notice it much more than the stock pump.
No need to upgrade the stock wiring either like most of the other aftermarket pumps, if you are going forced induction it's highly recommended though.

my walbro pump is still in the tank from when I had my greddy turbo kit. It's been 5yrs or so since i sold the kit. I didn't remove it and it's fine with the stock engine. U should replace the filter too while your at it.

Yes get a new oem filter sock if you haven't already changed it, the filter you can get with the Walbro kit is smaller and sits to high.
