Do ap2s have cold piston slap noise as well?

 

I got the valve adjustment done, they said 4 of my valves were loose. Didn't seem to fix the noise though

 

I had that noise on my AP1 01' got a valve adjustment and didn't go away. I asked ScienceOfSpeed to check around and they said everything was good. Ran a compression test, all was 1-2 psi from each other. So idk, never found out.

 

How was your oil consumption on your 01 ap1? Cuz I just switched from mobile 1 cuz it was eating it up like candy

 

I just found that Mobil 1 is candy to these cars as well.....

I have a very similar knock, have yet to trace it down but ill let you know when i do.

 

That's sounds like exactly what I have. Mine goes away when car is fully warmed up.

Bill, you recently commented in my "noise" tread....said that I might have a dry cam wheel....I am pretty sure this is the noise I was trying to point out.
