Short Block Rebuild
Hey all,
So I had my engine rebuilt 2.5 years ago. The engine has run well since rebuild, but uses a quart of oil every ~ every 800 to 1000 miles. It appears that reusing the stock pistons is what's causing this issue. I spoke with inlinepro (I live local) and it looks like rebuilding the short block would greatly reduce the oil loss issue. Price seem reasonable and oversized pistons would be used. I know many of you dont like rebuilds, but I'm looking for opinions. Since the car is running well and it's not my daily l suppose a short block rebuild isn't needed asap. |
Inline pro rebuild would be your most reliable option

they rebuilt by engine and made it an f24 if you can spare the extra few hundred I would recommend it, the extra low end torque is amazing and their rebuilt are build to handle massive power reliably

How many miles on your rebuild? The engine build cost isn't significantly different, but I would also need and EMS and tune, correct? Making it an extra ~$3000.
