Single pop noise when turning car off?
Just wondering if any of your S2K's make a single popping noise when you shut the car off...sounds almost like a cork coming off a champagne bottle or if you put ur finger in the side of your cheek and make that POP noise lol...you know what I mean? I took it to the dealership to look at and they said that it's normal and he took me to an 06 s2k w/19k on it that was another customer's and started then shut the car off and it made the noise not once, but like 2-3 times when it shut off...
If anyone has some insight or explanation on it, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks

Hmm, I have no idea what you're speaking of. My 01 and my 07 never did that. I will listen closely today when I get home. Maybe a puff of backfire? When you/someone stands outside, are you able to tell more accurately where it's coming from?
Now you're making me curious.

I was at Burns Honda yesterday, where I purchased the car and we listened to it together...The sound comes from the intake manifold/throttle body area and the best I could describe it is that it sounds exactly like the pop noise you make with ur finger in your cheek. Not really the champagne bottle like I said at first... It's pretty much the last noise I'll hear coming from the car when all the parts in the motor stop moving, aside from the exhaust/heat contractions and ticks/tangs of the metal. -glad to know I'm not the only one with the sound tho.
