Slow crank in cold weather.

Well it seems the motor takes a bit longer crank time for it to start.

i'm running 5W30 synthetic so no problem there.
new battery.
only 40k miles on starter. (though i guess it's more of how many times it was used)

I'm thinking about just increasing my crank time from 0.8sec to 1.0sec or even 1.2 sec on my remote starter.

but if the car did start say at 0.6sec.. would the extra 0.6 sec crank while motor is running be bad for motor/starter?

this is why rpm sensing starters are better.

I'de say go up as little as you have to.
