Default Springs with Shocks Question- Espelir Springs vs Stock shocks/Koni Yellows

I searched but came up with nothing helpful.

I have Espelir springs, 225F and 255R tiresand stock shocks. I rub occasionally when I hit potholes and such. I hate the rubbing.

Now if I get Koni Yellows and set it on the higher perch, will that raise my car a little? I guess my question is, how high do the stock shocks sit at and how does that compare to Koni Yellows, as in do the stock shocks sit higher/lower than Koni Yellows on the higher/lower perch?

Please, any informative response is helpful. I already know how great the ride quality is from all the searching I have done so that is not needed. Thank you.

Yellows have 2 perches, high - low.

High = stock hight setting
Low = lower (about 1 inch?) than stock hight

SO, this would seem to not correct your problem.

Thank you.

Also one more question.

Say I hit a pothole. Will my car absorb the hit better in Konis or stock shocks? What I mean in this I guess is that when a pothole is hit, the car's body bounces up and down, I dunno how else to explain it. Will it bounce more in stock shocks, or will Konis "absorb" the hit and not make the car bounce?

If anyone can understand what I am trying to say, please respond.

Basically, I do not want to get shocks and have it be the same thing as my stock shocks, cuz that would defeat the purpose. The ride quality is fine, I like it stiff and wish it was stiffer in the stock shocks.

i got koni yellows on my 94 accord and they absorb the impact much better than stock. stock tends to bounce up and down, the koni yellows(depending on the stiffness adjustment) will absorb the impact, and will only bounce one time. the good thing about the koni yellows is that they're firmness adjustable, just play around the settings to see whats best for u.

Yellow, you might want to do a search on "Koni Yellows" and you will find mucho info on the topic. You find topics covering how to install, performance, and what they look like.

The perches only adjust the ride heigh, the knob on top adjusts your firmness.

Sounds to me that your problem will not be taken care of by simply buying the shocks and may be more of a tire/wheel combo problem.

best of luck.
