Default Spuddering Problems

Ok so I have a 2001 S2k. Im having this problem where once the car gets warm, and you rev up, when the rpm's drop, the drop so low the car wants to stall out pretty much and you can feel it. It does it when you crank the car too, like on a warm crank, it will rev up then drop back down real low, spudder real bad then catch back up to around 900 rpm's. The spark plugs are new and all the coil packs are new btw. Any ideas? Ive hit the MAP sensor before, seemed to help for like 3 days, but not 100% sure if that was the problem.

My MY02 showed very similar symptoms but it happened almost exclusively on warm starts. I had figured it was my IACV but this seems to not be so. For the past few gas fill-ups my oil readings on the dipstick have been about 1/3rd of the way above the lower mark. I've been performing the full oil check procedure including letting the car sit for a few minutes on level ground prior to taking the reading and checking both sides of the dipstick.

I felt very confident my oil level was with in spec but on my last fill-up I finally decided to top it off with 1/2 quart of oil - lo and behold the behavior has settled down quite a bit. I hate to think of the failure mode that would lead to such a thing but all I can figure is that the oil level some how was contributing to momentarily higher levels of friction during startup.

I think it's time for me to get an oil pressure gauge so I can stop guessing at how my engine's lubrication system is performing.

I did hit the hell out of the MAP before and idk it did seem to stop for about 4 or 5 days, but maybe it was just me ha. I'll try it again, and if it makes a difference this time I might be purchasing a new one.

I had this problem too except that the oil light would come on... would this happen if too low an RPM was reached during the spuddering?

Also, make sure you check your exhaust for a potato. That'll cure your spuddering problem.
