Starting Issues..AGAIN
It doesn't seem intermittent any more.
Call the dealer and set up appointment. Drive 'er to the appoint and stay with the S. Keep 'er running, don't shut 'er down. When the tech comes out to investigate, shut 'er off and whola.
Good Luck

Tenblade, I have had similar starter problems with GM vehicles and "rebuilt" starters. It's possible that when the engine is hot the heat transfers to the starter and parts expand enough to bind. This explains why it starts after cooling. As for the intermittent nature, it
Tenblade,
Just go into the dealership and tell them to replace the damn starter. Don't take any of this "we can't replicate it" crap. Tell them if they won't just replace it, you and the service manager can spend the day driving around town together because by god they are going to fix it NOW!!!!

Well, the car was acting up during the warm weather that we've been having, but today its been chilly out and guess what.... the friggin car starts everytime. I am taking it to the dealer Monday. I really can't complain too much. They've been really nice, unlike my previous experiences with another dealership, so I'll see what they say. Also, I PM'd Woodwork, who works for AHM. He's a great guy and has offered to help. I agree, this is most likely a problem with the starter or starter solenoid.
I've had friends with this problem and done this for them; run a wire from the s terminal of the starter into the interior with a small test bulb. My friends could never reproduce the problem when they bought the car to me. So I just told them to check the bulb each time they hit the key, waiting for the no crank condition. Bulb on=power at starter, bad starter. Bulb off=no power at starter, problem is upstream of the starter (ign. switch, relay, connection, etc.)
