Default TCT: How the @#$@ do you recompress the TCT?

I ripped the head off one of my bolts when securing the TCT, so to get to the nub, I had to pull the new TCT. Recompressing the TCT seems virtually impossible without some kind of vise.

Any input is appreciated

*** compressed. For those who need help in the future, I'd highly recommend drying the tct off a bit (it is slick) or moving straight to a vise. It IS possible without a vise, but you'll have to have a fairly strong grip.

Dude, If you clamped the tensioner is a vise and squeezed compressed you destroyed it.

If you were to read the service manual, you'd see that there is an access cover on the end of the tensioner. You retract the tensioner using a screw and locknut.
