Yup, so it turns out that it was a manufacturing error. They were going to send me a new one but my buddy was able to use a 20ton press and move the bung a few millimeters back so that it would clear. Car sounds absolutely amazing now, I'm pretty sure my gas mileage is horrible because all I want to do now is put the pedal down and listen to my exhaust scream.

I'd take them up on getting the replacement. What your buddy did may work, but it also might cause it to fail in the future. If it were me, I'd definitely have them send a replacement that was made properly.

may not take it back now that its been forced into being fixed. but I would have taken them up on the offer as well.
