Ticking/Clicking at idle and fluttering up to 3-4k
My engine was noisy for a long time. I had a minor TCT problem and needed a valve adjustment for a while. I got the Valves adjusted and the car became quieter but I heard this ticking stand out... so I got the TCT replaced and ever since then the car has been much much quieter. However, I now hear this "tick tick tick tick" sound at idle. It almost sounds like metal expanding and contracting but it's a bit less metallic sounding and more rhythmic. I saw other threads on this but it seems like people either have the TCT problem, their engines explode, or they can't figure out what's going on with things like this.
It seems to quiet down a bit with rpms but you can hear it up until about 3-4k. It increases in frequency with RPM's After that it disappears into the roar of the engine. I don't seem to hear it when I'm decelerating, but I still have a buzzy clutch so I could be wrong.
I took a mechanic's stethoscope to the engine last night and the noise is prominent on the fuel rail over the #4 cylinder. It's a loud "click click click" type noise. I checked to make sure it wasn't in the block by putting the stethoscope through the fuel rail area and up against the block where the #4 piston would be. I didn't hear any knocking noise. I also checked the TCT, some of the valve cover, header heat shield, and the front of the block and didn't hear anything out of the ordinary... not that I really know what ordinary is but I digress.
What should I do in this case? Injector cleaner? If so, is there any specific brand you recommend? Maybe I should replace my fuel injection system with a carburetor? Hire a small man to stand on my intake manifold and spray fuel into my #4 cylinder regularly?

Burns Honda since I was being lazy that day. I guess I can get my mechanic to take a look at them at some point. He seems to know what he's doing much more than the Honda dealerships.

I'm having the same problem. TCT went and had it replaced and the valves adjusted. Car is much quieter but there is still a minor ticking, no knocking or other sounds of that nature. Car runs perfect though so I'm really confused. I'm going to try injector cleaner later because i haven't done so yet since I bought the car.
