Default Ticking noise coming from somewhere in the head

Okay guys, I was just hoping for some opinions on this ticking noise my 2004 ap2 is making (car has 100k miles). I purchased the car about a year ago, and about a week after I got the car I had to replace the TCT. The noise I am experiencing now doesn't sound like what it was doing when my TCT needed replaced. I have tried several fuel treatments and the ticking is still going on. I have heard it could be the LMAs or maybe my injectors? The last time I did a valve adjustment was about 10 months ago. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I am currently running Mobil1 10-30 oil, but I am planning on doing an oil change and switching to Amsoil. I really hope its not my TCT, and if it is I may just do the sandblasting on the worm gear and inside of the piston or order one of the billman TCTs.

It could be the serpentine belt auto tensioner, alternator or ac compressor pulley. Start with the auto tensioner since it's the easiest one to check.

Sounds like normal valve noise to me. Maybe slightly elevated. Was the motor stone cold when you did your valve adjustment? What end of the spec did you take the intake and exhaust valves to? I don't hear anything indicative of an Auto-Tensioner Failure or anything else Serpentine related.

I wouldn't say it was cold when I did the valve adjustment and I can't remember the specs, I'm gonna pick up a Chilton manual and redo the valve adjustment

It needs to be stone cold when you do your adjustment due to the expansion of metal when it's warm. If you adjust on a warm motor, when you initially start your car when it's cold the valve clearance is in excess of design spec. Re-do it and you should be golden. You were probably fine for awhile as you may have been on the edge of tolerance but now that the weather has gotten colder there is a lot more expansion/contraction going on amplifying the fact that your valves are now out of spec.

Okay I am going to re do the valve adjustment and see how it goes. I checked my oil today and somehow I burnt a quart of oil in a month.... I added more oil and its not as noisy.
