TRicking immobiliser system?
 

How can i use my friend's ecu in my car? I'm having starting issues, and i'm borrowing his ecu to try to start my car....


Tried taping the 2 keys together.... didn't work.

you'd have to go to the dealer and pay to have the immobilizer reflashed and likely a new key cut. Expensive

Not a topic I like to see discussed in detail on here. No reason to make things any easier for stupid thieves. The smart ones already know the tricks.

If you had starting issues before and it still won't start with the other ecu maybe the prob is not the ecu.

The tapped key trick is what the Honda service manual recommends.

You can't tape 2 immobilizer keys together and start the car. You have to cut a blank non-immobilizer key to the key from the donor car.
