Default Wet Passenger Side Footwell

I have an 05 S2000 and seem to be getting water in the passenger side directly underneath where the mat is and now the interior smells like mildew, the smell is sometimes unbearable. I think it may be the air conditioner condensation making it's way into the car because the vent is blocked. Anybody run into this problem before and how can it be dealt with?

have you had any passengers recently that could have kicked something? none of that stuff is really protected under there.

Most likely the drain pipe to the outside of the car is clogged, maybe with mildew. You have an 05 so I'd take it in under warranty and have the dealer sort it out and maybe replace your carpet.

What Saki said. Otherwise, its probably the heater core, but being so new, thats unlikely.

I tried taking it to a few dealers but no one will give me a loaner car. Anybody know where exactly the drain pipe is located?

Look up under the dash on the left side of the passenger foot well area. You will likely see a black plastic box with a short, hard palstic pipe sticking down. See if you can find the rubber hose that is supposed to be attached to it, and reattach it. If the rubber hose is already attached, pull it off and make sure the hose isn't clogged, thereby allowing water to sit in the evaporator housing. If clogged, make sure it isn't kinked as it runs down and out of the car and see if you can clear the problem before reattaching it.
