I just recently switched to Penzoil Syncromesh. Do not do that...

Stick with Honda MTF. Can't go wrong and only a few bucks a quart

The majority of people on this board run the honda MTF HG fluid for their trannys. This fluid is designed specifically for Honda and Acura transmissions. It is a fortified 10w-30 motor oil with special additives for smooth gear changes.

I just changed mine last night.

HONDA MTF only for tranny!

As for rear diff, switch to LE607, it's better than Mobil 1. I'm using Mobil 1 now, but I will be switching to the LE607 (you can get it from Rick's - see link on site).

those of you that say use HONDA ONLY...have u tried others to base ur suggestion upon, or are you saying HONDA ONLY because you are satisfied and HAVE NOT tried others?

There is aviscosity difference for sure. Additives are probably different too. I am no oil guru, so I'll wait for Road Rage to fill us in.
I just know it works.

I just had amsoil 75w-90 series 2000, put in both trans and diff. shifting was smoother and reverse engagement is a little better. amsoil is better than redline from what I have read. LK
