What material do you want for the flywheel?
He said there was a certain metal or grade something like that.
Also what is a good weight for street use.
Any recommendations for a streetable w/ OEM disk but act HD pp

Chromoly steel is what most of the good ones are made of, pretty sure stock is iron though.
If you have an AP2 an AP1 flywheel would be an awesome upgrade. If you have an AP1 you're gonna need to get like an 8 lb flywheel since stock is 11 lbs.

Stock AP1 is 13.9/14 pounds not 11 pounds. The Comptech flywheel is steel and is around 10 pounds and a good choice for AP1.
Have you see any failures of AL flywheels on the S? I gotta admit I was a little nervous about putting one on this high reving engine but so far so good. I am looking to get an ACT prolite the next time around though.
Chromoly steel is significantly stronger than aluminum (almost twice as strong - depending on the specific alloy), is more rigid (a good thing for a flywheel), and much more durable than aluminum - while being relatively lightweight. It's probably the optimal performance flywheel material for a high revving engine.

while I haven't seen any reports of an aluminum fly failures on an S2000, it has happened on other vehicles, and when a flywheel falls apart it is very dangerous, the stored energy in a flywheel can do some serious damage given where it is located under the cabin. Chances of a failure may be low but I wouldn't risk it.
Get the Prolite its chromoly.
Good to go on the other parts.
