Will a faulty oil pressure switch assembly cause no Vtec

1 Attachment(s)
I know a faulty Vtec oil pressure switch will cause Vtec not to engage, but will faulty oil pressure switch assembly (part number 37240-P13-013) cause Vtec not to engage?

Tried doing a search but there is some ambiguity between the two switches.

Pic of the oil pressure switch assembly in question below.

This switch is for oil light on dash? I don't believe a bad one will effect VTEC.

That's right I've removed my oil pressure sensor 2 years ago and I get VTEC all the time. It's the switch in the vtec solenoid that can be faulty and affect VTEC engagement.

X2

I don't run an oil pressure sensor either, VTEC all day.
