AdBlock

AdBlock is becoming a pain since so many sites have set up a defense against it by requiring it be paused to view the site. Just wondering if there are any new work arounds out there?

From what I read in MacWorld, AdBlock is still the best as of Oct '17.

Unless I missed something, that doesn't block ads. It deletes cookies, etc. which I can do at any whim for any period of time; and I do so on a rather regular basis.... in fact, just did it a few days ago.

I use Adblock Pro, along with Ghostery,on my PC.works O.K.

Dave, I thought cookies were something your computer left on websites that you visit. Once you visit, you can't "delete them". However, you can turn cookies off on your browser, which everyone should do while shopping. For instance, airlines know you have been there looking at rates, and next time you look, you may find they have gone up. I have experienced that myself.
Am I wrong?

Just googled cookies and I see that they are stored on your own computer, however they can be read by websites, which then send you ads for the shoes you just looked for, for example. Dave is right that you might want to not use them, or delete them often.
