Default Advice needed

Hi all, after 2 hip replacements and a pacemaker, I have almost decided to sell our S. I really hate to, but we only drive it about 10 miles a month now and could use the extra garage space. I have no idea how much to ask for it. It is a 2006, stock, 41,000 miles, garage kept, but has 2 dings, and a 1/2" tear in the top, it was patched when I got it. I have no idea how much to ask for it. I have looked up the blue book price and am no really happy with that. Any advice, I have never sold a car on my own before. Thanks

Here is a link to Bring-A-Trailer, it has current and past sales. I would do a search to see what prices people are asking on the web in general.

I sold my 04 through a local dealer in 2009 who specializes in vehicles like the S2000. I can't remember what I got but it was a good price and sold quickly. After his commission which was reasonable I got what I wanted. Your mileage is low but I would recommended getting the dings fixed. I did and it only cost about $150. I just read an article in our local paper naming the S2000 as one of the 10 most collectible cars in America. Their value has gone up so I would consult with a professional who knows the market and value of this vehicle. I would forget the blue book. Good Luck.

As S2KRAY mentioned, I would look into paint less dent repair for the dings. Then, if necessary, a professional detail followed by a listing on Bring-a-Trailer in the spring when buyers are looking for convertibles. I would expect low $20K if it is really clean.

Why would hip replacements steer you away from driving the S? I had both mine replaced this last year and am comfortably driving mine again.

Thanks everyone, I will look into "Bring a trailer", and yes, blue book is too low. How about the top, should I get it replaced along with fixing the dings? Thanks again.

My hip replacement made it much easier to drive my 06 S and now my 7 speed manual 14 C7 Vette.
