Alex Zanardi
I rank Alex Zanardi as one of the greatest people to ever strap on the belts in a race car! His book after loosing both legs is truly inspirational.
In case you are not aware that he will racing in the USA in a couple weeks, I thought I would share this article.

Honda honored Zanardi with a Zanardi edition NSX, the only special edition of the original NSX ever offered in the US, AFAIK.
The Zanardi included suspension modifications and various weight saving modifications that cut 150 pounds, the best features were manual steering and fixed roof. Manual steering had not been seen in a US NSX since 1993. And fixed roof NA2 NSX's are more rare than hen's teeth. Only 51 Zanardi NSXs were produced. 48 are currently "in the wild" as 000 was a press car and 001 was presented to Zanardi, himself. Prices are now approaching the cost of a brand new Gen 2 NSX. One sold recently for a reported $150,000. The upgraded suspension is better suited to track use than daily driving, a fitting tribute to the great driver and inspirational man.

We were on the infield at Laguna Seca in 1996 for the last CART race of the season. Standing at the top of the Corkscrew, we saw Alex Zanardi make "The Pass" on Bryan Herta on the last lap to win.

several thoughts.
1. would probably now be considered an illegal pass as he went off track to gain an advantage.
2. I would love to drive that someday.
I've been toying with doing AMG driving course, they offer it a laguna seca, it would be a hoot.
COTA and Lime Rock as well as others.
Lime rock is close. COTA faster.
