Interesting. Gene, Thanks for posting this. If Amazon is going to save $2 Billion, Greed must be the motive for raising the annual rate for Prime? I guess that he had to have us pay for his divorce that cost him $66 Billion?
Scoots: I can not help but wonder if Sears reputation for buying a larger and larger percent of a relatively small company's production and then threatening to cut them off if they did not get lower prices (that may have put many smaller suppliers out of business over the years, eventually back fired on them causing Sears demise?

^Matt, having worked for a company whose annual sales to Walmart represented ~25% of our total sales, believe me, they yield a big stick. Whatever they want, they get, if we expect to keep their business. I'm sure Amazon uses much the same approach.
Note: Amazon is a public company, so any savings goes to the stock-holders, of which Bezos is a majority, I assume.
