Any bourbon drinkers here?

Though not all bourbons, some interesting suggestions here: https://www.supercall.com/spirits/wh..._content=body5

The +1 has now said he prefers rye to bourbon.

We are stopping this weekend at Wild Turkey distillery to pick up some Forgiven. It is a blend on bourbon and rye whiskey. It is a taste I prefer.

Some recent events around me make me wonder if I should take up drinking.....

I bought a bottle of that when I was there. Tasty. Interesting story behind it too. Supposedly a worker accidentally mixed a batch of rye into a batch of bourbon. As the result was judged to be worthy, she kept her job. That's how I remember the story anyway.

Not much respect for Tennessee Sour Mash here, pity. In the day, Black Jack Daniels was pretty good. Now, not so much. The Gentleman Jack is acceptable.
These days, tho, I prefer wine, or a good Scotch, say, Knocando 21 Master Reserve.

I was reading a recent news report about thousands of bottles of Hennessy Cognac being bought in CT and sold through the black market in other states. That made me recall that cognac and coke was my steady drink at the bars in Paris. I couldn’t recall my last time having a cognac, so I bought a bottle. What’s the old saying “you can’t go back”. First, I had to try it neat. Oh, terrible smell and terrible taste. Added coke and I can see as a 19 year old kid why I thought it was good. But, its really way too sweet!! I didn’t even care to finish the cognac & coke. It may be an after diner drink for some but for me it will be after I run out of other stuff. But I’ve never been a brandy drinker. Where’s my Beam?
