Anyone live close to Orange County, Southern CA? I am purchasing an s2000 in that area, and hoping someone here can take a look at the car or recommend another s2ki member/guest who can.

I have been on S2ki since 2009. I am what some may call “pre-vintage.” I have enjoyed following the discussions here and met some of you on a previous Dragon meet. I read about Kyras’ (Patti) adventure picking up her s2000 from NC last year. I was impressed with how everyone pitched in to help find someone locally to inspect the car.

I am also looking to do a formal PPI after the initial inspection by somone on s2ki. I have done some research on the Socal S2ki board, and some have recommended the below. Hi Patti, I know you have recommended Aliso Viejo Auto Repair in previous postings. In addition to a PPI, I need to get fluids changed before flying in the drive home.

What's your name? Where's the car? Is it owned by another S2ki member?

I'm not the person to check it out for you, except for just the cosmetics like door dings and paint, wheel curbing and the like. I know two local guys that could maybe be convinced to check it out; Tom and Kent. They aren't engine guys but they know the cars inside and out.

Helio. It's in the Buena Park area. Not a s2ki member. I believe I am dealing with a good seller. I am definitely doing a mechanical inspection (mostly likely at Aliso Viejo Auto, based on reviews), so a comestic inspection is the most I can expect from the s2ki member (external,interior, tires, etc). The more anal the person is, the better! . Thank you.
