Default Anyone own a Lexus?

A friend of mine and I were talking and he asked what I thought of a Lexus IS Convertible. I personally don't know anything about Lexus, but I told him that I chat with a group of vintage car buff's, who know practically everything.

He's looking for a 4 place convertible, I suggested the Infiniti G37, but he is looking at the Lexus. Has anyone had any experience with Lexus?

No but my Mom's had 2 so far - both used sedans. I'd describe them as overpriced Toyotas but they've both been fairly trouble free other than the normal wear stuff.

I could see myself in an IS or SC convertible someday though.

We had '00 GS. Very nice car, maybe a little numb for my taste.
I am really not very enthused with the IS conv. There is one locally, and it just looks odd to me.

I have a 96 LS400, it has about 133k miles on it. I had the timing belt, strut rods replace about a year ago. That's the only time it went into the dealer for service since the new car warranty run out. The rest of the maint. is done by me. I have not had any problem with it. It's a great car for long distance driving...

Yep, Emil is correct. The +1 has the ES350. It's about three years old. He loves it. Service is great.

Drove an ES350 at the beginning of the year when I was looking at new cars. It felt very numb to me. I could see where the numb ride quality would make it a good highway car.
