So did you like my "art" Dave?
BTW I had not one, but TWO Mike's Hard Lemonades at the cookout, and one on Sunday. Wild Girl I was!

Live'n on the wild side . . . only way to go. Looks like a great meet. That's some green wall you've got there. Is that all shrub or is growing up a brick wall?

Snake, that's some seriously good stuff. The still's are outstanding. I loved the "TrophySquirrel"
Patty, I can feel the connection in your work to those camping spots you love. Good stuff.

Those "green walls" are all shrubs. We have them on three sides. Great privacy and pretty to look at instead of a fence. One side had them when we moved in, we planted the other two around 20 years ago and keep them around 8' high with a trimming once a year.

This thread has given me some moto-vay-shun, so I actually picked up a brush yesterday. Boy am I rusty. I wanted to do something small, quick and loose just to get going again. Made the typical mistake of not knowing when to quit and over-painted it. But it's a start; so thanks. And let's see more stuff.

^ I know, I know...I'm going to take pics asap! Probably not tonight, though. It's Chuck E Cheese party night, and even if I get home fairly early, I'll probably need some recovery time.

Patty, I have used calendar art or photos as inspiration many times. One does not need to apologize for using any source IMHO. The greatest artist of all time often copied the work of others that they liked.

I was told by a few people that I shouldn't use watercolors, because I don't use them the way "you're supposed to". Like, I overwork them and use too much paint and for that I should use acrylics. Too bad. It's my medium of choice and if I continue with it, maybe I'll learn to use a lighter hand. The end result usually pleases me and that's what counts.
