not bragging, my wife does everything well. we both fit obsessive compulsive description really well.
She hated staining the trim on our door because she had a hard time getting it perfect.

I'm fancy, amn't I? I took watercolors classes in the late 1980's and my teacher, Glen Knowles, did a lot of it. I have two of his paintings in California that I still love.

I lost all the learned technique I had gained to make watercolors. No practice. I still have watercolor paintings I made that I love. I'm sure they're buried in this thread somewhere. My goal in taking classes at Antelope Valley College, in Lancaster, CA (Feb. 1987 was the first class) was to get out of the house when my kids were babies and then toddlers, and to make something I liked enough to put on my own wall. I succeeded. My first painting was with two tubes of paint, a blue and a brown, and it was off my daughter in the LeBoyer bath, right after her birth. The two colors were perfect since they made the water color of blue and her skin tone.

^This was one I copied from a calendar. It was during an early class and we could only use three tubes of primary colored paint. I have it on the wall in my Cali kitchen. I never put a frame on it.

^I copied a photo of our boat I took when we were boat-camping on Lake Havasu, Arizona. It's in a bathroom in Cali.

^I copied a photo of the sunset view from my 5th wheel in Kennedy Meadows, CA. I think it's in my bedroom in Cali.

^This was another copy of a photo I took at sunset but looking north from the 5th wheel. It's in the downstairs bathroom in Cali.

In my dining room in Cali of a river in California, about 30 miles from my 5th wheel up there, and another copy from a photo I took.

^A copy of a calendar image. This is in my bathroom in Cali.

Thank you, Lainey. I couldn't pick up paints and do it again, though. I still think watercolors are the coolest.

Those are really nice, Patty!

My favorites are the first one (the trees with the reddish leaves) and the last one (the door with the flowering vines around it).

Do you think you will ever bring them to your home in Colorado so that you can enjoy them more?
