Another heartbreaker. As soon as I saw Gio Gonzalez as the starter, I did not have a good feeling. He makes me nervous - never sure which Gio is going to show up. Unfortunately, the bad Gio did. Not sure why Dusty did not start Scherzer. When he did bring him in in the fifth, it was a disaster. He had a hamstring injury, but it can't have gotten worse from the first inning to the fifth. So overall I fault Dusty for the loss of this game.

I was hoping they would win. The Cubs know how to win clutch games, the Nats don't. Too many mistakes and I agree putting Scherzer in was a disaster. 4 runs in 2 innings plus costly errors including getting picked off at 1st base in the 8th, Werth losing the ball in the lights etc. Maybe next year, again?

Astros beat the Yanks in Game 1 with great pitching and defense.

I just got my 'baseball' update from the boys at the pub last night since I don't follow it at all. Sorry to learn both Cleveland and Washington were out.

What a great effort by Verlander. Altuve's effort was super human. He deserves to be the MVP.

Well, that was an awesome walk-off HR by Justin Turner, in Game 2!

Stros and Yanks tied 2-2. Yanks are tough at home and Judge woke up. They need a win today to be 1 up going back to Houston. Verlander pitches game 6 in Houston. I think the Cubs are done L A is a better team this year.
