From the NY Daily News the other day. All us Met fans think alike. The collapse is coming.

Lets Go Mets.

Funny, Rob.

Well, the Nats played the Phillies last night for the first time and Scherzer managed to strike him out twice. But then in the 8th, which seems to be the Nats downfall inning, he hit one of the longest ones he has ever hit at Nats Park. Phillies won 8-2. They are not the most popular team at Nats Park anyway, and the addition of Harper has increased the bad blood. He got booed a lot

I am astounded by the inane behavior of Nats fans. When Jason Werth left Phila. for the Nats, he was welcomed back to Phila with cheers. Jason Werth was a very pivotal player who was greatly respected and loved in Phila, but he left for a free agent shot at big money, and that money was $126M.
Philadelphia gets a bad rap all of the time for its fans, I've got to tell you Washington fans are really pretty bad, as are most cities. But the way that they treated someone that was a star for that team was in a word, childish, IMHO.

I think it was a bit of a surprise that the fans acted quite so vociferously. Usually are not so vocal, one way or the other.

Nice pic! Nats are below 500. Very iffy this year so far. We are headed to the game on Sun. See which team shows up.

^ Nats won that one but are still below 500 ball. HOWEVER - they hit four consecutive home runs yesterday, making them only the ninth team to do so. The bigger news is that they did it for the second time!! Making them the only team in MLB history to do so. Who would have thunk it!!

There is hope. At least they are not the Orioles who stink.

^ Orioles do have a good day once in awhile. The +1 and his son went to a game a week or so ago and they won 13-0. Nats have been down the first part of the season and are up now. Above 500 for the moment. The son is down here for the weekend, so we are going to the game today against the Royals. Hoping predicted t-storms don't interfere with the proceedings. At least we will be underneath and can go inside if necessary.
