I remember the B58 Hustler. One flew right over our house when I was a kid. I flew the F4C Phantom in the AF. The most fun I've ever had in my life (..........including sex. Don't tell my wife I said that.)

Matt,

I am very much aware that it was called the B-58 Hustler.
Dave,

There is NO doubt in my mind that you are very much aware that it was called the Hustler, as almost any aviation fan would know.

I crafted my previous post with the * as sort of a "straight line", but no one took the bait. I would have bet that someone was going to come back with some comment at Hustler magazine and my childhood years being home alone, etc. But I lost that bet.

You're right Matt, now that I re-read it I see where your head was! I was a Playboy kid myself.

Dave,

I am happy that we have that smoothed over. There was never any doubt that you or Canberra would have known that the B-58 was known as the Hustler.

Perhaps, I should start a different thread about the male teens magazine of choice: Playboy, Penthouse versus Hustler ?

I can understand how that 3-man bomber with the speed record would leave such an impression on you; it did me.
I always thought it was the Valkyrie that was the really impressive one. I finally saw the only remaining prototype at Dayton a few years ago.

I also thought that the Kit Car by the same name was VERY COOL. Produced by FibreFab back in the 70's.
