OK...saw some shows that are coming to DC later in the year and next year - Miss Saigon, Beautiful (Carole King musical) and Hello Dolly with Betty Buckley. I wanted to see that in NYC with Bette Midler or Bernadette Peters but could not make it happen. I love Betty Buckley, though. Her rendition of Memory from Cats is one of my favorite songs ever.

I got all psyched, Jon Stewart and Dave Chappelle are doing three shows in Boston in June.
And then I found out I have to be in California for those 3 days.

Oh, I'm seeing three more tribute bands for June and July - Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and the Eagles!

Southern Accents (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers cover band) was absolutely amazing!! I though no one could beat Almost Queen, but they were right up there. Really, really good. All of the bands look and sound like the originals.

On the Border (Eagles tribute band) continued in the great tradition of cover bands last night at the State Theatre. They were great!!
