The Concert and Shows Thread

Miss Saigon was good but with a sad ending. Production was amazing. They even had a helicopter come down from the ceiling behind the fence people were climbing, soldiers got on, and it rose up. Very cool!! It did remind me of the real evacuation we all saw on TV.

No more shows until the end of Feb, when we see one called the British Invasion Years at our fave local theatre.

Went to see Beautiful, the Carole King Musical. I am not e big fan of musical theater, but I really did like this. It was the soundtrack of my childhood. And I learned that Goffen/King wrote "Another Pleasant Valley Sunday", I had no clue. Very entertaining story about her most prolific songwriting period, which started when she was 16.
Next up Cape May JazzFest, not near as big as NO, but getting to be quite good. April's Fest will feature Chick Corea, Lizz Wright and a cast of many others.
