The Concert and Shows Thread

Funny that this thread came up this monring - I don't have to go looking for it!
Last night Virginija and I went to see Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull frontman). His voice is about 20% of what it used to be, but the musicianship and showmanship more than made up for it.
This guitarist from Germany was absolutely amazing!
The trademark one-legged playing:
I saw Jethro Tull in their Broadsword and the Beast tour way back in college. Anderson can still jam with the best of them - his energy and on-stage antics are up there with the best of them.

for this oldie but goodie...just got tix to a Motown show presented by Smokey Robinson, set for April 27.
Trying to see what we've been to since I last posted on this thread in 2010. We did see South Pacific at the Kennedy Center last year. Very good.

We saw the Beatles tribute band "Rain" a couple of weeks ago. Concerts/shows aren't generally what we do for entertainment, but we both enjoyed it very much. If you're a Beatles fan, and the show comes your way, I'd recommend it.

Headed to see The Boss tonight!! The +1 has seen him a few times up in Jersey, but not in 30 years. I never have. Should be awesome!

^ And it was!!! Thought things were winding down when the lights came up in the stadium about 11:20. Nope...he went on until right before midnight with dance music! Twist and Shout and songs like that. Pretty much all 39,000 people were on their feet dancing. An amazing night. The man is like an Energizer bunny!
Just got tix to see Heart in Nov, with a lead in by Shawn Colvin.

Went to see "ASIA" (original lineup of Wetton, Howe, Palmer & Downes) at the Strand Capitol in York PA last night... their 30th Anniversary Tour.
Four incredible musicians! John Wetton sounds better than ever.... Steve Howe hasn't lost a lick... same for Geoff Downes on keyboards... and Carl Palmer is absolutely incredible on drums! GREAT music!

That was probably the period when I turned to C&W.
We watched a movie last night that I thought was pretty good about traveling band life.
