I hate shopping. I need to replace my DVD player. I know I'll enjoy having one that doesn't skip. But I hate the shopping process, so I've put off getting a new one for months.
I've had skipping problems with mine and had the info sent to return it under warranty. Then, it quit skipping. I think it skips because of old, bad DVDs from Netflix. One was cracked.

Can't you just order it online from a Best Buy store near you and go pick it up? Easy. As long as you know which one you want. That's what we do quite often. Or don't you have Best Buy there? Or order it online and have it delivered. Then you avoid the store altogether.
We have Best Buys here. I bought my DVD player from Walmart (on sale) and the price was so good, even Jerry's son who's in the business said he couldn't beat it.

I hate online comparison shopping also. I've sat down a few times to start comparing BluRay players, and I always give up in boredom after looking a 5 or 6.

Mine is long out of warranty. I use it to play CDs much more often than I use it for movies. There is a point about 25 minutes in where it starts to skip. The same CDs play fine in either of my vehicles and in my computer.

I've also noticed a perceived attempt to "clutter up" the data and make comparisons difficult.

'oh wait let's give you bells and whistles and wonderful sound effects with adobe flash" but no F'ing real tech specs.

The only impulse things that come to mind are jackets and baseball caps - I have a dozen or more of each - but still can' pass up ones.
We must be related, for some reason jackets are just a bit too much to resist sometimes.

Nothing has changed Jerry. I am still grumpy and avoid cheery people in the morning.
