I took a paint mixing stick and wrote with a red sharpie "Charging" and leave it on the drivers seat to remind me not to drive away with the thing connected. The main connector is right over the fuse box in the picture. It has a protective cover attached when you disconnect it.
Takes less than a minute to raise the hood, drop the unit in front of the engine to the ground, hook it up, lean over to fish the box and plug under the car and just plug it in to the wall. You can drop and close the hood without issue.
