Makes a world of difference.
Since I started with it, the hygienist hardly has any thing to clean and looks for things to do.
I replace my brush heads about every 3 months.
Jerry, yes. I've tried both the square brush design and the round brush design. You know what works best for me. Neither. I now use two standard tooth brushes. One that is firm and one that is very soft. I generally use both at the same brushing. But, strange as it sounds, I have the best results with the very soft one. I also use soft picks daily.

I use this one. Oral-B electric toothbrush It works great for me and my body chemistry. I've always liked the Oral-B brand for electric brushes.

I still get dental from my employer, so does Cindy. I have no idea what the premiums are. I guess in 10 years and facing retirement, that info becomes more pertinent.

I get a cleaning 2/year and Xrays 1/year, but, sometimes its 18 months apart if I schedule the 2nd appointment and its even 1 day before a full year. So I tend to do 6.5 months, 6.5 months...

I've been using the same dentist since I was about 10 and our family dentist in town died in a plane crash. Howie bought the business as a new dentist and its now 40 years later. I now drive an hour to see him. He still takes care of my Mother and a few cousins locally.

I'm pretty fussy about cleaning my teeth. Like others, I use an Oral-B electric brush. I also use GUM dental brushes to clean my between teeth and gums. Using the Oral-B and thorough cleaning between teeth with the GUM brushes after each meal or snack is my regimen. I also fully floss about once per week. I've had one small cavity over the last 20 years. I can't remember when I last had an x-ray and I go for a cleaning every two years.

Having said that, I have three front lower teeth that have had the tops crack off from severe overbite over the years. Since they still work, although they are a bit jagged, I've never had them capped.

i have good teeth in general, if i had purchased dental insurance for the past 40 years i would have paid heavily for little return. i do not believe in dental insurance or pet insurance. i am an insurance broker, never sold either. going regularly is a good thing and if the dentist want to shoot an ex-ray that's ok.

Harry, how about a little bonding to build them back up?

You better clear that with Rick first.

I never pursued any remedy because they don't bother me. I don't have to look at them. But, I will look into bonding. Thank you.
